I was once in a group which had a bad apple. It's in a survey class, and we need to write the report after every lab. One of my group members also went late when we meet and discussed the problem. In addition, he did less in the report and most of the time, other three people of my team (include me) had to do more work.
We had no solution for that question. We talked about the puzzle with him, but he didn't get the right track.

Group Work
Group work or teamwork is one great thing that team members working or talking together to accomplish their goals. As a engineering student, i have many successful experiences for working with other people.
The most significant fact for group work is the communication. People are smart, and emotional. Therefore, communication is the best method to express their ideas. And teamwork, as the word shows, it is the way that group members to work as a whole part. So, everyone should basically talk or write their thoughts.
Because i am not a native student, i have many troubles for the first year when i study in ISU. I don't communicate very well with my team members at the some engineering class at the beginning. Then i try to speak more words to show my opinions when we have the meetings. At the second semester, as i talked more with the native students, my skill of communication went up. I could express my ideas clearly instead of speaking words for words. In conclusion, group work, depends on the talking between all of the members.

Blog for group project
I searched for some topics for our group ideas. All of my group members think about the recycling or saving resources for our daily life. Therefore, i try to find some articles about how to recycle or save water in the internet. And i find one essay which talk about the water recycling by some students in our university. A: I think the author try to deliver the message that people should live a simple,free, and enjoyable life. Men in the society has always been occupied by many works. They always live or work with forces, and can not do the things with their wishes. Therefore, the author of theses writings intend to tell people that live simple, be free, and have a joyful life. Like he writes in the poem, "Hope to live in that free republic for which it stands. Love the world. Work for nothing. Be joyful, and practice resurrection". And he also expresses this idea in his essay, which is "As a child i always intended to be a former. As a young man, i gave up that intention, assuming that i could not form and do the other things i wanted to do. And then i became a farmer almost unintentionally and buy a kind of necessity".

Personal Response for the Reading
The reading is mainly shows us some information about how to make life easy and meaningful. Also, we can earn some experiences about how to cite the sources from other resources. In addition, it reminds me that we should live a sustainable life around the campus.

The things that changes in my life
I've been to ISU for about 2years. I live a pleased life here, and i have already changed a lot after i try another living environment. When i was in my home country, i didn't study very hard and i didn't know the effort that my parents did to support my life. After i came the Ames, i made many friends and learned more things from them. I recognized that i can't live for just myself. I take the hope of my parents. And i learned the word "responsibility", which is the right and limitation in human life. Everyone should suffer the effects that he or she has done before, no matter the good or bad changes for their physical life or abstract mind.

Analysis: Silent Spring
In Rachel Carson's essay Silent Spring, she utilizes many evidences and statistics to tell the public and government that the DDT has too much harmless for the environment. For example, in the article, she write "In 1947 the production of young birds began to decline. Some nests contained no eggs; others contained eggs that failed to hatch. Between 1952 and 1957, about 80 percent of the nests failed to produce young". In addition, she also expresses logos in her article. Like in page 370, she uses some quotes from Dr. James DeWitt of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. Besides the logos, she uses pathos in the essay. In the beginning of the article, she writes one place that has comfortable environment and attractive wild animals to express her good hopes and wishes.

Similarities and Differences between McCandless and Thoreau
I think the similarities between McCandless and Thoreau is that they both go to the wild and take an adventure or travel to the American landscape. McCandless and Thoreau, they are looking of the beauty of the nature, and they both try the trip to the wild.
But the big difference between McCandless and Thoreau is that McCandless has a serious problem to the modern society, and he doesn't want to connect or communicate with other people. McCandless likes to get into the wild, and takes the only world with the lives which inhabit in the nature. Thoreau also intends to live in the attractive wild, but he has the connection with other human beings, not just wild animals or plants.

with lots of rabbit playing on.
It is brown, batch, and slant grove,
with numbers of squirrels running upon.
It is my campus, an exciting, attractive, and
fantastic place that make people feel quiet.

A: The most attractive details in this poem is the last two paragraphs which is "With the dirt balanced high, screaming my shoulder, I think hard on those nights of tussle and squeal. I want to feel his heat and twist in my arms again. I have to dig". Those section above makes me know the fear and loneliness that the author feels after the tragedy. She feels sad and alone like everything, every familiar things have left, and that make her write "I want to feel his heat and twist in my arms again". The author try to tell God not to abandon the people who was suffering through the worst hurricane.

Is is appealing to you? Huh, I'm pretty sure that everyone in United States remember the July 4th. That's right. This snapshot is one of my favorite photos. I heard about the demonstration from one student, and i was interested by the different way that American people celebrated their national day. People from all over the city got together and performed some creative shows on the street. I saw some people drove their beautiful cars, and i also found some people took their dogs that was dressed up on the street. On conclusion, the National Day gave me a memorable experience.
Ames is a very attractive place. Its pretty, peaceful living, and tranquil environment fascinate me very much, like a jewelery to a woman. This snapshot was photoed in a park in Ames; and I just came here and was attending an ordinary meetings by a fire-apartment on that day. I never saw a clean and blue sky before, and I was also interested by the quiet environment and the peaceful relationship between human and wild animals on that day. This photo startled me deeply.
This snapshot was photoed in 2008, the first year that i came to the United States. It impressed me because i was shocked by the green grass and a lot of trees in campus. I come from a city which is in northeast in China, and i can't find any magnificent places in my home town. It's a so pretty and peaceful place that I'm lucky to study here.

There are five ways to map the world. They are map the thing by sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. The entire world can be drawn by those different senses.
For the map which shows the Yosemite National Park, it catches two ways of mapping that are map by sight and touch. And the Yosemite map has left out the methods which should be map by hearing, smell, and taste. Because of in this photograph, people can find the impressive prettiness of the grove and mountain by just looking at it, and they may feel reality like they can touch the gorgeous scene.
I can represent the map in a different way. I would introduce the ways of smell and hearing to map the Yosemite. Looking at the picture, can you smell the delicate fragrance that the trees are breathing in a nice day? The trees are celebrating the glory of nature. And will you hearing the wind is flying alongside the mountain and grove, like they are the eidolon which playing games with those trees? Life is beautiful, and nature is magnificent. Then feel in the Yosemite, hear and smell in the nature, and you will experience and find the miracle in your life.

For concrete example in page 761: "I've interviewed maybe a hundred people for or against wolves. The ones who are "for" wolves, they have an agenda: wilderness, and freedom for predators, for prey, for everything. The ones who are "against" wolves have an agenda: they've got vested financial interests. It's about money."
This example make us to know the relationship between human and wolves, just respect their freedom or treat the wolves as too much merchandise.It reminds people realise theire ways to the wild species that humans are destroying the nature.
