Poem

It is blue, fresh, and beautiful sky,
with crowd of birds flying in.
It is green, natty, and bright gross plot,
with lots of rabbit playing on.
It is brown, batch, and slant grove,
with numbers of squirrels running upon.

It is my campus, an exciting, attractive, and
fantastic place that make people feel quiet.
I like my campus, it appeals me with its
interesting scenery.
I like my campus, it attracts me with its
silent environment.
I like my campus, it makes me feel the
miracle of the nature.

That's my campus, a glorious place.

BURIED (Second-half of Blood Dazzler)

Q: What specific details stay in your mind? Why? How do these small details lead to larger ideas?

A: The most attractive details in this poem is the last two paragraphs which is "With the dirt balanced high, screaming my shoulder, I think hard on those nights of tussle and squeal. I want to feel his heat and twist in my arms again. I have to dig". Those section above makes me know the fear and loneliness that the author feels after the tragedy. She feels sad and alone like everything, every familiar things have left, and that make her write "I want to feel his heat and twist in my arms again". The author try to tell God not to abandon the people who was suffering through the worst hurricane.

Is is appealing to you? Huh, I'm pretty sure that everyone in United States remember the July 4th. That's right. This snapshot is one of my favorite photos. I heard about the demonstration from one student, and i was interested by the different way that American people celebrated their national day. People from all over the city got together and performed some creative shows on the street. I saw some people drove their beautiful cars, and i also found some people took their dogs that was dressed up on the street. On conclusion, the National Day gave me a memorable experience.

Ames is a very attractive place. Its pretty, peaceful living, and tranquil environment fascinate me very much, like a jewelery to a woman. This snapshot was photoed in a park in Ames; and I just came here and was attending an ordinary meetings by a fire-apartment on that day. I never saw a clean and blue sky before, and I was also interested by the quiet environment and the peaceful relationship between human and wild animals on that day. This photo startled me deeply.

This snapshot was photoed in 2008, the first year that i came to the United States. It impressed me because i was shocked by the green grass and a lot of trees in campus. I come from a city which is in northeast in China, and i can't find any magnificent places in my home town. It's a so pretty and peaceful place that I'm lucky to study here.

Q:What are the major themes in this piece? Are there any minor themes as well? Is there any kind of "subtext" in this essay? What kind of murmurs run below the surface?

A:The major theme of this poem is to memory the quiet life that the author has before the hurrican. The writer had a quiet and pieceful life before the tragedy. She fulfilled her pleased daily life for a long time, but the hurricane came and broke her happiness into pieces and made her homeless, like the author wrote "hates me for everything I have". The "subtext" in this poem which i think is to make people know the sadness that the people in the disaster suffer, for instance, they have lost their family, their home, their hope.

The Summer Day

Q:How does the writer structure the poem and to what effect?

A: The author first introduce the statement of the grasshopper, then she write the thing of herself that she don't know "what a prayer is " but how to feel in the grass ,how to feel the nature. At last, the author tell the reader of the truth which everything will be die, and encourage people plan and value the life.
